Asociación Rescate Verde takes the lead in a new Erasmus+ project empowering youth workers for environmental action
We are delighted to announce that Asociación Rescate Verde’s Erasmus+ project “Protect the Future with Climate and Disaster Awareness” has been officially approved and accepted for implementation!
As the coordinating organization, we are proud to bring together youth workers from Hungary, Italy, Romania, Turkey, and Spain for a dynamic mobility focused on climate change, disaster preparedness, and sustainability.
The project will take place between 15–21 October 2025, offering participants the chance to learn, share, and collaborate on innovative ways to address global environmental challenges while strengthening their leadership and advocacy skills.
🌍 Project Objectives: Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future
Our accepted project is designed to raise awareness about climate change, disaster management, and sustainability, while encouraging youth workers to take an active role in social change.
Key objectives include:
Educating and raising awareness on environmental issues and sustainability practices,
Developing leadership and advocacy skills for community-level environmental action,
Promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for participants from disadvantaged backgrounds,
Encouraging intercultural dialogue and cooperation across participating countries,
Fostering sustainable lifestyles through everyday eco-conscious practices,
Building long-term international networks among organizations dedicated to youth empowerment and climate awareness.
🌿 Activities and Learning Experience
Over the course of seven days, participants will engage in non-formal education activities designed to blend learning with creativity, teamwork, and real-world application.
Highlights of the programme include:
Ice-breaking games such as Human Bingo and Two Truths and a Lie to build trust and teamwork,
Educational sessions on natural disasters and climate change causes,
Group workshops to analyze climate change scenarios and develop solutions,
A creative recycling workshop promoting sustainable production and reuse,
A field visit to local institutions working on climate and disaster management,
Hands-on drills simulating pre-disaster preparedness and emergency responses,
A Youthpass workshop to support participants’ professional growth and recognition of learning outcomes,
Cultural visits exploring local history and traditions to enhance intercultural understanding.
Daily reflection and online feedback sessions will help participants consolidate their learning and share insights from their experiences.

This newly accepted project aims to create lasting impact on participants, organizations, and communities by promoting environmental awareness, leadership, and cross-cultural cooperation.
Expected results include:
Greater understanding of climate change, disaster preparedness, and sustainability,
