Ecofluencers is an Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project (Project No: 2025-3-ES02-KA152-YOU-000370087) coordinated by Asociación Rescate Verde and implemented in Malaga, Spain, between 11–17 May 2026. The project brings together participants from Hungary, Romania, Spain, Türkiye to strengthen environmental awareness, digital competences, active citizenship, and intercultural dialogue through non-formal education. By combining nature-based experiences, civic participation, artistic creativity, and collaborative learning, the project encourages young people to become confident advocates for sustainability in both their local communities and the digital world.

Participants strengthened their connection with nature through observation-based outdoor learning that encouraged mindfulness, environmental awareness, and personal reflection. By engaging directly with natural surroundings, identifying environmental changes, and sharing their observations with peers, they developed a deeper appreciation for biodiversity and sustainable living. These experiential activities enhanced critical thinking, curiosity, empathy, and the ability to recognise the relationship between human behaviour and the natural environment.

The programme also emphasised active citizenship by providing participants with opportunities to engage directly with local communities through environmental awareness initiatives. Working alongside environmental organisations, designing creative public actions, and planning awareness campaigns enabled participants to transform environmental knowledge into meaningful civic engagement. Through teamwork and project-based learning, they strengthened their communication, leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills while gaining practical experience in community participation and environmental advocacy.

Creativity served as another powerful learning tool throughout the project. Participants transformed recycled materials into artistic works that communicated important environmental messages, demonstrating how sustainability and creativity can work together to inspire change. Reflecting on global environmental challenges through documentary discussions further encouraged participants to analyse climate-related issues from multiple perspectives, develop critical thinking, and consider their own responsibility in creating a more sustainable future. These activities nurtured environmental literacy, creativity, collaboration, and informed decision-making.

The project also promoted intercultural understanding by bringing together young people from different countries to share traditions, languages, music, food, and cultural heritage through interactive activities. This exchange strengthened mutual respect, cultural awareness, and European solidarity while fostering lasting friendships and effective international cooperation. By integrating environmental education, community engagement, artistic expression, and intercultural dialogue, Ecofluencers equipped participants with valuable competences that will empower them to continue acting as responsible citizens and environmental ambassadors long after the project has ended.
