Ecofluencers is an Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project (Project No: 2025-3-ES02-KA152-YOU-000370087) coordinated by Asociación Rescate Verde and implemented in Malaga, Spain, between 11–17 May 2026. The project brings together young people from Hungary, Romania, Spain, Türkiye to strengthen environmental awareness, digital competences, and intercultural cooperation through non-formal education. By combining nature-based learning, creative communication, digital activism, and cultural exchange, the project empowers participants to become active advocates for sustainability within their communities and across digital platforms.

Participants developed a stronger connection with the natural environment through observation-based outdoor activities that encouraged mindfulness, environmental awareness, and personal reflection. Experiential learning methods allowed them to explore nature directly while analysing the relationship between people and the environment. By observing natural elements, identifying signs of human impact, and sharing personal reflections, participants enhanced their critical thinking, empathy, and appreciation for sustainable living while building meaningful connections with one another.

Creative communication became another essential component of the learning experience through storytelling workshops that demonstrated how powerful narratives can inspire environmental action. Participants analysed successful examples of environmental communication, explored the balance between emotional and evidence-based messaging, and created their own stories addressing issues such as climate justice, plastic pollution, deforestation, and water conservation. These activities strengthened creativity, public speaking, collaborative learning, and the ability to transform environmental concerns into compelling messages capable of motivating positive social change.

The project also equipped participants with practical digital advocacy skills by exploring the role of social media in environmental activism. Through discussions with experienced eco-activists, analysis of successful online campaigns, and collaborative campaign design workshops, participants learned how to plan strategic awareness campaigns, identify target audiences, create engaging digital content, and communicate effectively using visual storytelling tools. These practical experiences enhanced digital literacy, strategic thinking, teamwork, and confidence in using online platforms to promote sustainability and encourage civic participation.

Beyond environmental communication, the project fostered intercultural dialogue through interactive cultural exchange activities where participants shared traditions, languages, music, food, and creative expressions from their countries. This collaborative environment strengthened mutual understanding, respect for cultural diversity, and European solidarity while improving communication, cooperation, and social inclusion. By combining environmental education, storytelling, digital innovation, and intercultural learning, Ecofluencers provided participants with valuable competences that will support them as responsible digital citizens and future environmental leaders.
