Ecofluencers is an Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project (Project No: 2025-3-ES02-KA152-YOU-000370087) coordinated by Asociación Rescate Verde and implemented in Malaga, Spain, between 11 and 17 May 2026. The project brings together partner organisations from Hungary, Romania, Spain, Türkiye to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to become environmentally responsible digital advocates. Through non-formal education methods, participants explore environmental communication, digital activism, sustainability, and creative online engagement while strengthening intercultural cooperation.

Throughout the activities, participants deepened their connection with nature while developing a stronger understanding of environmental responsibility. Observation-based exercises encouraged them to engage directly with their surroundings, improve their awareness of environmental challenges, and reflect on the relationship between human activities and nature. Experiential and inquiry-based learning methods fostered curiosity, mindfulness, and empathy, helping participants transform simple observations into meaningful environmental insights.

The programme also strengthened participants' knowledge of environmental communication by exploring how sustainability messages are created, shared, and interpreted. Through discussions, case studies, and the analysis of successful environmental campaigns, participants examined both inspiring communication strategies and misleading practices such as greenwashing. By critically evaluating real-life examples, they enhanced their analytical thinking, media literacy, and ability to distinguish authentic environmental action from superficial marketing.

Digital activism formed another key learning area of the programme. Participants explored how digital platforms can be used to promote environmental causes, mobilise communities, and inspire positive behavioural change. By analysing successful environmental movements and designing their own awareness campaigns using Canva, they developed practical competences in digital storytelling, visual communication, campaign planning, audience analysis, teamwork, and creative content production. Presenting their campaigns and receiving peer feedback further strengthened their confidence, collaboration, and communication skills.

Overall, the learning experience enabled participants to combine environmental awareness with digital innovation and active citizenship. They gained valuable competences in critical thinking, project development, digital communication, collaboration, creativity, and responsible online engagement while recognising the potential of social media as a powerful tool for environmental advocacy. By integrating practical activities with intercultural exchange, the project inspired young people to become influential voices for sustainability within their communities and across digital platforms.
